13'4" - Built by Etienne Muller 2020 - Designed by Selway
After cutting the top of the transom more or less to its final shape I laid a couple longitudinal deck supports into the rear deck frames and glued in the king planků Then the next big step: the start of the cockpit. I used a couple of 8mm thick cedar strips to achieve an easy, fair curve to start me off. They are notched into the side deck supports. I considered varying cockpit shapes, with rounded corners fore and aft, but they seemed to detract from the dynamic lines of the overall arrowhead shape, and would add work, so I went with the obvious option.
