I
wrapped a bit of coarse sandpaper around the mast and
rubbed the bases of the cleats on it until they had
the correct curve in their bases to accommodate the
mast radius. I attached them with epoxy and bronze
screws. The cleats are made from teak. They are six
inches long and available from Classic Marine UK.
