The hinge for
the skeg is made from a rigging terminal eye, a bit of
shroud plate, and a clevis pin cut short and hammered into
a rivet. the plate is mortised into the skeg with chemical
metal to glue it in. The hinge fits easily into the 1cm
skeg slot.
