I pre-bent the timbers for the coaming with the heat
gun, partly to make it easier to fit them and partly
to remove stresses in the boat, and the builder. I was
running ver short of Peruvian Walnut, so I had to mix
in some yellow cedar in the first laminate, where it
would not be seen.
