MELONSEED 13'4" - Built by Etienne Muller 2020 - Designed by Selway Fisher

I turned over the hull to finish off the centreboard slot before starting on the deck. First I used a bearing bit on the router to trim the ragged edges on the rough cutout in the keel flush with the inside walls of the case, then I rounded over the corner with a quarter inch radius router bit. The flat keel makes this operation very easy compared to other hull shapes. There is a length of mini cell foam wrapped in packing tape pressed down about an inch and a half inside the slot to prevent epoxy running down inside when I glass.
